Wong Wai-leung : Arnold is not alone as an intuitionist critic because the limitation of words had long been recognized in China and Chinese impressionistic critics are much more advanced than Arnold in criticizing without making any critical statement at all. While there is a tint of intuitionism in his touchstone doctrine, his criticism at large is marked by a profound intellectual appeal.
